Brussels, June 22, 2023 – Air Belgium, a leading provider of passenger and cargo flights, has been chosen again as preferred partner for its high-quality and reliable services. In addition to pursuing and developing its own routes, notably flights to Mauritius, Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa, Air Belgium has also secured new charter contracts. Moreover, as a result of recent expansions in southern Africa, the airline has signed a new interline agreement with Air Mauritius.
In addition to continuing to expand its range of scheduled passenger flights to destinations such as South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town) and Mauritius, Air Belgium is also flying for some of the world's leading airlines this summer. These include British Airways (London/Chicago), Royal Air Maroc (Casablanca/Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Istanbul, and Brussels), Air Madagascar (Paris-Charles de Gaulle/Antananarivo), Surinam Airways (Amsterdam/Paramaribo) and Condor (Frankfurt/Seattle, Chicago, Dominican Republic, etc.). Since June, Air Belgium has also been operating charter flights for Air Greenland to Kangerlussuaq. Finally, thanks to FlyCemair (in addition to Airlink), Air Belgium is strengthening its interline agreements in South Africa.
Next to this, Air Belgium will resume operating charter flights for more specific customers, such as the French company Le Ponant, which organizes luxury cruises departing from Kangerlussuaq in Greenland.
Air belgium strengthens its leadership position towards the Indian Ocean via Brussels
Air Belgium recently signed a new interline agreement with Air Mauritius, the flag carrier airline of Mauritius. This development follows Air Belgium's recent expansion in southern Africa. The agreement allows Air Belgium to further increase its offer across the Indian Ocean. From June 2023, Air Belgium customers will be able to book flights from Brussels Airport to Reunion, Rodrigues, and Madagascar. Thanks to this agreement, the range of flights available to passengers will be extended by three new destinations via Mauritius, bringing the number of destinations operated by Air Belgium from Belgium to 49.
Air belgium's fleet currently consists of the following planes:
